Windows fonts to libreoffice writer

Hi All,

I installed Microsoft core fonts (times new roman, Arial,...etc) to my ubuntu saucy.
but it still not displaying properly in old word files I created earlier while using Windows OS.
the fonts are not even existed in the fonts list I can use while creating a libreoffice writer file.

anyone can help me to add/activate it in the libre office files?
