Webdav: davs:// not working in Lubuntu

Asked by Gordon Hay

If I enter dav://serveraddress in PcManFm I get connected as expected.

If I enter davs://secureserveraddress, I get "HTTP error. Unauthorised". I can connect to the same server from Win7 without problems.

What am I missing?

What is the output of :

lsb_release -a; uname -a

Are the 2 addresses going to the same server? Is one using SSL in some way?

Thanks

lsb_release -a; uname -a

    gives:

    No LSB modules are available.
    Distributor ID: Ubuntu
    Description: Ubuntu 13.10
    Release: 13.10
    Codename: saucy
    Linux lubu64 3.11.0-15-generic #25-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jan 30 17:22:01 UTC 2014 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Two different servers: first server is http (OK from Lubuntu and Win7), second is https (OK from Win 7, fails from Lubuntu)

Also, try installing nautilus and try accessing the SSL connection. It may be a bug with PCManFM.

I gave the links so you can check your server configuration

I'm only concerned with the WebDav clients - the servers belong to customers. FWIW the https one is a Micrsoft Sharepoint system.

Don't think it's PCManFm - tried many distros, and their various file managers (including Nautilus), always with the same results...

Can you help with this problem?
