Deleting Thunderbird Add-on Markdown from Ubuntu 12.04

Tonight I made the mistake of downloading Markdown, a Thunderbird add-on in Ubuntu 12.04. Now I can't use my e-mail as Markdown always presents itself when I click on Mail. I'll appreciate any advice on how to delete this add-on. Thank you all in advance.

I've just fixed the problem myself by removing Mardown via Thunderbird Mail>Tools > Add-ons >Extensions.
I did't find Markdown very useful.
