best high availability solution

If i need to put at work two hosts with Ubuntu Server 12.04 in a High Availability cluster , what is the best solution i can use ?
There is a online guide to follow ?

There is no single best solution for anything. If there was the other options would die out as nobody would use them as on is the best. Your question is as intelligent as asking "what is the best drink" or "what is the best web browser". None are best. People replying will voice their opinion but none are outright best.

Do you want the effort to switch between the systems in a load balancing scenario, or do you want functionality to flip over to the other system in the event of an outage?
