Cannot access Firefox browser in openbox-gnome

Asked by Edmond Condillac

I'm trying to use openbox-gnome session as it is claimed be being a lightweight desktop environment. The command echo $DESKTOP_SESSION outputs openbox-gnome, I need help to access my web browser and other system features, if possible.

Right click on the desktop to get the Openbox menu
If you install and configure then run idesk you can make desktop icons (add Idesk to the session startup)

Openbox is extremely light but a lot of things take some manual effort to make work where a desktop environment will handle it easier. If you want a desktop panel to show running applications and such then tint2 is pretty good

Can you help with this problem?
