Impossible to re-enable both side panels

If my memory is correct, when I first installed Ubuntu there was a side panel on both the right and the left side of the nautilus window. I didn't like it, so I removed one, but now I can't find a way enable the right one again. How would I do that?

i dont see anything on the right side of my nautilus browser
but to get the left side back, View--->Side Pane
another way to do this, hit F9 while in nautilus

Yeah... I know that, but as I remember it there was something at the right side too... perhaps I remembered incorrectly. Thanks anyway.
