Ububtu 12.04 freezes often

Asked by Giri

Hey guys,

My ubuntu 12.04 freezes often.

I can't move my mouse. My keyboard keys not working too.

I'm having this problem for more than 5 months.

I guess I'm having this problem because of some hardware problem. I'm not really sure. As of now i'm restarting my Laptop to solve this problem. But sometimes i'm losing my datas because of this problem.

I love ubuntu. But its giving me so much headache.

Can someone relieve me from this headache?

Here is the kern.log messages that recorded until the freeze

http://paste.ubuntu.com/6911166/ (Please scroll to bottom to see recent logs)

And here is my sys.log messages

Thank you..

Have you tried the Unity2D session which is selectable on the login page?

Hold SHIFT at boot and select Memtest from Grub. Is the RAM ok?

I'm pretty sure my RAM is ok. Because i'm using 6 GB RAM.

Please check my sysinfo

PS: I used this command: sudo lshw -html > mySpecs.html

The amount of RAM is not the factor here. The HEALTH of the RAM (as I clearly stated earlier) is what we are testing. If a stick or more of RAM is bad then it will make problems. You could have 10000Gb of RAM but if some is bad you will get issues. Hence me suggesting a Memtest

Hello andrew, I did memtest.

It said "Test passed. No errors. Press esc to exit"
