startx problem....aborted

 when i type startx .. it says :

xauth:creating new aurthority file /home/thepro/.severauth.4583
x:cannot stat /etc/xii/x (no such file or directory), aborting
xinit:sever error

when i frist time type this.. it says not install and it says type ...... ot install and i did install that thing but ... when install it says the above...

no ,this is my first time installing the ubuntu. previously and now( beacause of this problems(i hav 2 hd..i tried to install ubuntu in hd1 but my windows xp is still in hd2) ) i am using windows xp.
