Asked by Dying Soldier

I had an unsuccessful install of "I-nex" (a hardware info tool). How does one uninstall something like this?

Ubuntu 12.04 LTS on an old gateway laptop

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install i-nex

sudo apt-get --purge remove i-nex

That programme isn't even needed. In the official repos is lshw-gtk

The top command will remove the package for you

Removal is a success...new package is also just what I was looking for. Thanks for the help. (Will probably be pestering you and your friends again, as I've been known to have just enough knowledge to be a danger to myself/system).
