to whom should I report problems with Hardy Alpha?

Asked by Harri

About a week ago I reported a (severe) problem on launchpad.net about installing Hardy on my Dell XPS M1330 (#188549). There was _zero_ response, which is esp. surprising looking at the momentum Ubuntu got by Dell supporting Ubuntu 7.10 on a lot of their products. Contrary to the README in Hardy's boot menu I had the impression that nobody is interested.

But maybe I wrote to the wrong people? Whom should I contact about bugs in Hardy? Dell?

Regards

Harri

Launchpad is the right place to report any problems coming from ubuntu. It's very likely that your problem is coming from ubuntu, so that's the right place.
Note that bugs against no source package (but against "ubuntu itself") usually don't get too much attention, but thats basically a matter of time.

For Debian I can report bugs about "debian-installer" to contact the
right people knowing Debian's installation procedure, and to make
sure that bug reports are not lost. Is there something similar for
Hardy?
