Deleting bookmarks

Asked by Allen

Hello,

I have a question about removing bookmarks.

I have accumulated a number of bookmarks that when I go to the “star” and click “remove” don't go away.
Is there a way to get these out of my list?

Also, I have never been able to back-up my bookmarks in Ubuntu One.
Any advise on this?

Thanks, Allen

Are these bookmarks in the file browser or in a web browser. Simply stating "bookomarks" isn't very specific.

Action/Andrew,

If I open Firefox and go to the menu bar and click "Bookmarks" that is where they are. (web browser, I think).
From there I am only able to remove some of the bookmarks, the rest just linger and pile up.

I don't think I have ever tried to remove a bookmark in a file browser, I'm not sure I would know how.
In fact, I didn't know there was a difference!

Thanks, Allen

Yes then they are web browser bookmarks, you can add folders in the file browser as bookmarks too fro quicker access.

If you use Firefox's "manage bookmarks" menu item, can you remove bookmarks there?

Thanks, that did the trick.
