firefox crashes almost always

Hi,

I just upgraded to Ubuntu 6.10 from 6.06LTS. Firefox was working very fine. But now, it crashes silently almost everytime I start it. I think it is not working with websites designed in flash, but then, even when I login to my Gmail account, it crashes. Please provide help, I am getting frustrated.

Can you try to remove flash from firefox or make a new profile for ff and see if the lack of flash helps. there are bugs with gmail site not working right and alot of flash bugs. another alternatives is to try the flash9-beta/or alpha whatever it is now. flash9 is not supported by ubuntu but if it works well than that is something i would do. You can get flash from
http://seveas.imbrandon.com/dists/edgy-seveas/custom/
 i recommend downloading it from there. you can add
deb http://seveas.imbrandon.com edgy-seveas custom
to your sources.list file but i perfer to just download it.
