What is device 1 when using Linux?... Optical drive? HDD? RAM?

Mark H,

This is a problem with Virtual Server, you may want to take this up with Microsoft. But you can try lowering the ram allocated to the virtual machine to 256meg and see if that helps.

Of course there is always the proven VMware, and I like VirtualBox http://www.virtualbox.org/ a lot.

Hi William,

Runs a little slow but once it has finished updating I'll ramp up the RAM a
bit. V Box is pretty easy to use and not too dissimilar to Virtual PC 07.

Hooray for Linux!!!!

Best wishes
