Cannot Put password in terminal app

7.04 version Ubuntu:

when you type in "sudo" or try to do anything in the cmd or known as terminal it asks for a password it will not let me enter anything but hit enter

Hello

Just type in the password.. Notice that it won't show the '*' while you type, but just type in normally ! this is how it works to avoid people from looking over your shoulder !:-)

and when you are done typing your password, Just hit enter..
