I'm getting an error message that says The disk drive for /dev/mapper/cryptswap1 is not ready yet or present. I have a new laptop!

I get the message as well. It is not a real problem. The cryptswap device is just not initialized at that moment. It will usually be initialized a few seconds later. The message is just a bit annoying.

To verify, you can open the Terminal and run
free
If it shows a line "Swap:" with a large total, then the swap is working properly.
