Problem with Audio Streaming in Ubuntu 13.10

Asked by P J Reil

I frquently visit the "Books Should Be Free" web site (not "Librivox" as originally stated) and listen to streaming audio of the various public domain books on the site. Since upgrading to Ubuntu 13.10 from 13.04 the 'Stream audio and download chapters' menu at the bottom of the page is no longer visable. The menu seams to be some type of Java(?) type script. Since I'm not experiencing the problem on any other web sites I assume the problem is with my video setting or lack of some module in my setup.

Can anyone help me get my audio streaming menu back?

I'm using :

Nvidia Video Card: C67 [GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M] [10DE:531]

NVIDIA Corporation MCP67 High Definition Audio [10DE:55C]

If you make a new Ubuntu user and log in as it, is it ok there?

Thanks

Your system can hold literally billions of users. Make a new user and log off. Then log in as the new user and not your own user then try doing what you are trying to do.

Can you help with this problem?
