openoffice installation in ubuntu12.04

Can I install Open-office in my Ubuntu 12.04 beside Libre-Office? If yes, how to install?

There's a PPA for x86 at https://launchpad.net/~upubuntu-com/+archive/openoffice . Read the "Read about installing" link for instructions.

BTW: LibreOffice is a project based on Open Office and offers pretty much the functionallity. It has been chosen over Open Office for several reasons. If you do not need OpenOffice explizitly, you should use LibreOffice.

Libreoffice development is much more active. Why do you want OpenOffice over Libreoffice?
