Mobile Broadband User Interface Application

Asked by rat

Hi,
I use a Huawei Mobile Broadband Devices (data card) model no 303c and E1550. I have no problem connecting to internet.
The Issue is I donot have any option to make and recieve calls using this device.

If I use the same device in Windows 7 or 8, I have a device vendor provided application that gives me options to use features like calls, sms, USSD using the mobile network available with the USIM that I use in data card.
When I plug it in the MS Windows 7, I can see a folder saying as linux, but I am not able to install any of them.

Is there any application that can be used in Ubuntu that provides these features?

You don't need drivers, its a serial modem which are as old as the hills. You just need to flip it from a USB storage (For Windows and Mac users who seem to not be able to install their own drivers, to a modem)

I got that already. I can use the device as serial modem, but not as a mobile phone.

What Exactly happens is:

I have a dual boot with Windows 7 SP 1 and Saucy Salamander. For connecting to internet I have this Huawei E303C modem. I requires a SIM or USIM to connect. I have only one sim that I use in my GSM phone. So I remove it, plug it in the device and then use it.
If I use the modem in windows and if I get a call, I can answer it! but if I am in Ubuntu, I can't. :(

Finally!

We can see that the identifier is:
