Asked by srikumar

using Ubuntu 13.10

I am unable to print a PDF document from Evince Document Viewer since there are no menu items to chose Print.
The only menu item is Help which leads to the help screen which says:-
File>Print
but there no "File" menu.

Which desktop environment are you using? Does pressing "CTRL+P" help?

Install cups-pdf and you will get a pdf printer.

Phil

I am using Ubuntu 13.10.
I view the file in the "Files" program and double click on it. The file then opens out in Evince Document Viewer.

Thank you for your response. I have not yet tried your suggestion since a way around this was found.

Open the document with "Print Preview" - it opens out and then > Print.

Thank you for your prompt responses.

Dear all,

while this question solves the print issue, there Files menu is still missing, and there are other things in there too. In my case, I would like to save a copy of an annotated pdf document. The help text similarly refer to
File -> Save a copy, but there is no file menu.

Is there a way to get the file menu back?
(I am running Ubuntu 13.10, 64 bit).

Sincerely,

Martin

Sorry, this seems to be a change in the GUI that has not been updated in the Help text.
