Authorization request in gnome after login asking for my e-mail password - correct password is rejected by keyring

Asked by tadiv

These OS upgrades are just a nightmare...

OK - I'm back to the problem described in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/234294 and I don't remember what I did to get rid of this issue. I do know my e-mail password, but when I enter it in the dialog box it tells me that it was wrong...

Note that this is not a request for my keyring password, but my e-mail (and it displays my e-mail address in quotes)...

Any suggestions?

When I first logon - I have a snapshot of it, but I don't know how to attach it here...

I also get the error described in https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/234640 when I start Thunderbird... That is:

There was a problem opening the address book "Contacts" - the message returned was: Cannot open book: Failed to obtain an access token for 'Contacts': GDBus.Error:org.gnome.OnlineAccounts.Error.NotAuthorized: No credentials found in the keyring

It seems related...

Okay - in "System Settings" there are two sections called "Online Accounts" - it seems that I needed to validate my e-mail account credentials in the second one - I have uploaded an image with the correct one circled... That image is at:
