Tried to install Mint14 from Linux Format DVD

Please anyone help:- Tried to install Mint14 from Linux Format DVD

HP Pavillion ZV5200 1GB ram did have Window XP install and I was trying do complete install of Mint14.

After some of software had been installed and user name and Password was entered screen the change to something like-

            -17- generic #Ubuntu HP Pavillon ZX5200

           "
           "
          0000:01:00.0: Calling LVDS script5: OxE382: Parsingdigital output script table
                                                                          Ouput LVDS-1 is running on CRTC1 using output 1

Screen went blank

Only a small rotating disc ......... as if busy...

Please help.

 Were can I go to get Help?

This Forum is for official, Canonical issues of Ubuntu.

 Linux Mint is just a derivative of Ubuntu.
