Why do you not have a backup? What if the drive IDE dies. Where is your data?

You couldbtry foremost. You will need a writable partition of equal or greater size than the source drive. You will lose filename and location but the files may be recovered or part recovered. Again, this is all so much easier with a backup. 1Tb USB drives are stupidly cheap and would make this unnecessary.

I donot have backup of the data, not aware of Ubuntu OS, I thought it would work as Window hence kept all my important data in drives other than C:, need proper documentation to recover data.

If the NTFS is intact then you can just mount it. You havent stated how the partitions are currently.
Look at guides for foremost. Its super simple.

Again, why is there no backup?

Use Disk Utility. It is in Ubuntu Software Center.

I suggest you use windows to check the partition. NTFS is proprietary to Microsoft

If you always need an an exact guide for everything then you are going to struggle with Ubuntu and IT in general. The amount of things you can do makes this unfeasible and you will need to learn to read between the lines

Actionparsnip. I dont need your advise. You are taking my query to another direction. Anyone there who can mail me the process to recover my deleted data through testdisk, kindly mail me the process <email address hidden>

Nobody will mail you. All correspondence will happen here on the forum. The whole idea of a forum is to share solutions, not to recruit someone to email you directly.

If you use foremost you can spit files to a healthy partition. Testdisk can write partition data to the fat but you need to know the exact sizes and order of the partitions. You will then need to chkdsk the partitions and hope you got it right. Foremost is a lot easier.

If the area you had data on has been written to with new data then the files overwritten are gone and unrecoverable

Again, a backup makes all this unnecessary

Can you explain in a procedural way. Its really not fair way of communication. Just tell me steps to run test disk, I already installed it in my laptop.

You will struggle as you had 4 partitions, you will need their exact dimensions to use testdisk.
