Why was that detail not in the initial question? You are having display issues but didn't think to add the video chip. ... why is this?

didnt think it mattered. i was under the impression that linux was compatible with all nvidia cards

It is but we had no way of knowing that you have an nvidia chip as you simply didn't tell us.

Sometimes the nouveau driver struggles so you can blacklist it to stop it loading. Once you get installed etc you can install the proprietary driver. Add the boot option:

nouveau.blacklist=1

And you should get a desktop

In future give full details. It speeds the whole process up rather than just stating what the actual issue is. Details like makes and models and what has been tried mean helpers don't have to ask

Just so you know. Wubi is at best a quick and dirty try before you buy install. It is not a long term solution.

Hold SHIFT at boot and add it next to the default boot options which are:

quiet splash

Have you considered ditching the wubi method and resizing ntfs and doing a real install with a decent boot loader rather the junk windows one.

Can you help with this problem?
