networking via ethernet

I am wondering if I can network 2 Puters both running feisty 7.10 via a Netcomm NB 1300 Plus 4 Ethernet/ADSL router and if so how does an old fart like me go about it in simple terminology. They say learning keeps the mind young if so I'll soon be wearing nappies.

Please check and/or set the 2 pc (i call them A and B ) as dhcp client,
do this from System->Administration->Network
Reboot the 2 pc.

Please open a terminal from Accessories->Applications->Terminal and type on both pc and type:

ifconfig -a

Post result of the ifconfig -a command of pc A and pc B here
