Workspaces switch when accessing menus in LibreOffice

After opening LibreOffice, creating a new file and moving it to another workspace, accessing menus from that document transitions view back to the first workspace (without moving the LibreOffice window). This sometimes results in the menu being visible on the first workspace, and sometimes does not. How do I prevent this from happening?

lsb_release -a; uname -a; apt-cache policy libreoffice
