Format Partition

Asked by Lliam Mckenzie

Sorry Ubuntu is great but I can not access the net, too many issues to go into, and Ubuntu is useless without a net connection.
I need to reclaim the Partition that Ubuntu is on, back to fat or fat32. How can I do this?.
Any help to format back to fat will be welcomed.

see my org. question 20177 and all that relates to that. I can't get the programs to install proper, can't get the modem to work under Ubuntu.
So I could use the space for my Windows setup. I just want to know if I can format the Ubuntu partition back to fat or fat32. Sounds quick and easy to me, without repartitioning the drive. just need to know if there is a program and where to find it.

the program is gparted, or in windows partition magic, or in ubuntu gparted.
with this you can delete a partition an asign the free space to other partition. (you must do it whit a live cd of ubuntu, this have gparted)

I tried the live CD to repartition and/or format, but it will not let you do this unless you set aside a partition for Ubuntu. How can I access the program you say gparted and how do I execute it.

Have you tried GParted live CD (http://gparted-livecd.tuxfamily.org/)?

Can you help with this problem?
