Is indicator-bluetooth supposed to appear on the status icons area?

Asked by Edwin Pujols

I mean, should there be a bluetooth icon associated to indicator-bluetooth? I am using saucy with proposed enabled.

I ask this because the bluetooth icon won't appear for me. The only way I could turn the bluetooth on was via installing blueman. The blueman-applet doesn't work for me either (the menu shows empty) so it was kind of a hassle (had to use blueman-manager or something).

Another kind of related bug is that the status icons position/presence is kind of unstable between installing/removing unity-system-compositor, just want to confirm it's not only me.

hciconfig output:

hci0: Type: BR/EDR Bus: USB

OK, but just to confirm: indicator-bluetooth is supposed to show a bluetooth menu on the indicators area, right?

PS: I think the blueman-applet bug is known, in some other form as an API change.

Can you help with this problem?
