What do I do when someone keeps changing the description of my bugreport?

Asked by Alexander Rødseth

I have reported a bug, with a description.
Then, a person changed the text into something I didn't agree with.
I changed the text back and asked him to stop changing the text.
Then he changed the text again.

What can I do? Is there a way to lock the text, block him from even seeing my bugs or possibly delete the bug?

It was probably changed in an attempt to make it more clear and not for any malicious reason. I don't think you block anyone from having access as this is a open community. However, you could email the person. Their address is probably on their home page or you could post a comment stating that the changes do not reflect the actual situation or asking that the description not be changed. If you think it is malicious you could try contacting a launchpad administrator on the #launchpad IRC channel. If yo could provide a link to the bug in question it would help. There are quite a few bugs linked to you.

Thanks for the good answer. I did not provide a link on purpose, as to find a way to resolve it without putting the focus on a specific person or case.
I don't think sending an e-mail would make any difference, as I already asked politely in a comment. Preferrably, there should be a way in the launchpad-system to handle such cases, I believe.
Does this case breach the "code of conduct", or is that pulling this small, but annoying, issue too far?

In any case, I'll ask on #launchpad too. Thanks!

That sounds like a good approach. Without knowing the content or the action I can't say if it's a violation, and it's not place to make that call anyway. I believe the proper way to bring up an issue with the launchpad staff is to post a question in the launchpad project itself. https://answers.launchpad.net/launchpad/. You can also try on #launchpad but it seems rather quiet in there lately.

Can you help with this problem?
