How do i install 32bit pam on a 64bit amd ubuntu? I am using 10.04.4.

Hello Team,

I am new to linux. I have to install 32 bit pam libs on a 64 bit ubuntu. i am using 10.04.4. When i try to install 32 bit pam files i get error, which says the files are of different architecture and cannot be installed on amd64 bit.

Any help is appreciated

Also I think that your issue here is that you are attempting to install 32bit libraries onto amd64. There is a useful little utility called MultiArch https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MultiArch that allows you to run i386 on amd64 as well as other conflicting architectures.
