need octave at least 3.6.1

where/how I can get ubuntu's version(by apt-get install) octave 's current version(at least 3.6.1 or later, since I saw debian have it),

Hello,

this depends on which version (number) of Ubuntu you have. You can search for a PPA, I have here a list with PPAs that have Octave, have a look

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+ppas?name_filter=octave

If nothing meet your needs, you can download - build and install any version you want (even the latest one).
