ubuntu and dell vostro 1500 notebook

  would anyone NOT Recommend installing ubuntu, 7.1 on a Dell Vostro 1500 notebook ? , if so, what dell notebook is recommended ?

Hi Gerbi,what have you got to lose? Why not try the live cd first and see if it runs that properly. If so,you can click on the install icon and try to install it on the harddisk.
