Several attempts/clicks needed while using mouse

Asked by MadhuSoodanan

Though I can see the mouse actions on the monitor Mouse clicks can't do anything for some time. More than 5 attempts needed to see/(make still) Dash Home window. A few clicks couldn't make still that window. I faced similar problem when I was using Totem Movie Player. I couldn't make Play / Pause buttons work with 3 or 4 attempts. The buttons comes to its previous state within a fraction of a second. Pointer speed, Drag and drop & Double-click time out are in medium levels.
Need I report a bug?

What is the output of :

sudo dmidecode -t 1; lsb_release -a

We need details about the system. We have no idea at all what you are using. We don't even know the release of Ubuntu. ...nothing. we aren't psychic so you have to tell us basic stuff like this. Why did you not include details about the system?

Sorry, I thought due to some problems ,this one also became an always-open-question. So I didn't log in launchpad recently. so I couldn't read your reply. Nor did I get any email. That was the reason for the delay.

I had unlocked some icons from Launcher.

I couldn't see such an option. I got Unity 2D Shell from usr/share/applications. And when I tried it, the Launcher icons became bigger. No other change seen on the desktop. Anyway I didn't experience the problems I mentioned when I tried it for some time. I shall confirm it within a few days.

The problem is solved. I had reduced the size of the launcher icons when they became bigger (i.e. when I used Unity 2D Shell). When I logged on each time, the bigger icons didn't appear. So now I can't identify whether it is Unity 2D.
