How to install EaseUS Partition Master in Ubuntu 13.04?

Asked by Navin Talati

Hi,
An EaseUS Partition Master is a very good utility to resize the hard disk. From its website, it seems that it is only for Windows versions. Is it available for Ubuntu OS. (Ubuntu 13.04) ? Please let me know the required PPA or Repository details.

You cannot resize the hard disk using software. It will always be the same size. You can resize partitions on hard drives. If a software is Windows only, how can there possibly be a PPA? It makes no sense at all. Do you even know what a PPA is?

Ubuntu already has gparted. Windows Vista and later can also resize their own partitions so why do you need a 3rd party application.

EaseUS Partition Master is not available for Linux. You cannot install it in Linux, although some people might suggest to install it via Wine program, I wouldn't suggest such thing , for such tool.

You can use Gparted. A very powerful Gnome PARTiton EDitor. You can do a lot of good work with gparted, and you can find this tool in Ubuntu Software Center. Gparted is not installed by default. It is included only in Ubuntu Live images, but you have to install it from Ubuntu Software Center (in an installed in HDD Ubuntu OS.)

Nonetheless Be AWARE that the power of this tool sometimes can be destructive.

Ans for #1
Sorry sir, it is a little mistake in writing. I mean it for resizing the partition of a hard disk.

Ans. for #2
Thank you sir for the guidance.
I also came to know the actual meaning of Gparted and how the name is derived( i.e. Gnome PARTition EDitor).

Thanks again to both of you.
