Not to undermine your problem, but asking how to solve a windows virus problem on a Linux help site seems off base. I'd suggest contacting MS but that would be futile. It's possible some here may know how to solve windows problems, the majority of us are here to help users with Ubuntu related problems. That said, reinstalling windows would certainly fix the problem. Boot the install CD and choose a new install. It's been a while but as I recall it's pretty easy. Getting all the drivers set up will be a pain, though.

If you are interested, I have a better solution. Download an Ubuntu CD and install that. You will no longer be vulnerable to the thousands of windows viruses out there. If you need help install Ubuntu you can get a good bit of info here https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Installation. If you need addition help feel free to ask. It's best to ask one question per ticket and make sure your title clearly describes your question/problem.

I suggest you reformat you pc and lose all your information. Then install the TrojanRemover from a trojan website to get rid of the mess. Hope this helps

Your question is very offtopic here...

http://ultimatebootcd.com/
http://www.bitdefender.com/site/LinuxDefender-Mirrors.html

→ at these two pages you will find information about howto recover your installation (both are LiveCDs with antivirus programs...)

As Jim said - you can also try to use Ubuntu (or another Linux distro) - it's completely free of viruses!

Can you help with this problem?
