Requesting increase/setting of importance of a bug

Asked by Sven Boden

Is it possible to "nudge" someone to set an importance on a certain reported bug. I'm assuming some people (triage group or so) set the importance level.

Specifically e.g. it's about https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/meta-kde/+bug/175597 in hardy, which is probably trivial but which everyone using hardy would see if it's not fixed by at release time and probably even within 15 minutes of use.

There are also a few others bugs which I see in hardy, which are probably trivial but very visible.

Regards,
Sven

Hello

You can change the importance level by using the Email Interface of the Bug Tracker.. (I do it this way So I assume that this is the way to change the Importance of a bug..)

This article provides more info on the Email Interface of the bug tracker ref:

https://help.launchpad.net/BugTrackerEmailInterface

Note:
Before changing the importance of a bug yourself, you should be the assignee for that particular bug and the bug should be confirmed..(or you should assign the bug to someone and he can change the importance depending on the above factors)

lol ... so there is an e-mail interface as well. Question is actually more: right now the bug in the original mail is in "undecided" state since about 1.5 months. It's an easily verified bug. Is there a way to push the criticality of the bug (upwards).

Personally I would even rate it critical or severe as everyone using hardy will see this bug (but I'm not a developer for the moment so I can't set priority).

Sven

OK.. assigned the bug to ubuntu bug control team.. You can get further assistance from them regarding the importance of that bug and triaging the bug..
