Inserting arrows into flow chart

I am trying to create a flow chart with one box at the top then two boxes underneath and then varying boxes under that. I want to connect the appropriate boxes with an arrow. Can anyone tell me how to do that please?

What software are you using...
I suggest you to use dia to install it... open a Terminal from the menu Applications->Accessories->Terminal and type:

sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install dia

give your user password when requested, you don't see nothing when you type it, then press enter.

You will find dia under Applications->Graphics-> Dia Diagram editor
