Skins no longer listed in Audacious preferences

Asked by Bensin

The skins for Audacious are no longer listed in Audacious preferences even though the wsz-files has not been moved from their position in ~/username/.audacious/Skins/filename.wsz.

I think this happened when I upgraded from 7.04 to 7.10.

Hello Bensin..

You should use winamp 2.x skins or XMMS skins for audacious.

http://www.winamp.com/skins (make sure you get classic skins)
http://www.customize.org/list/winamp2
http://skinz.org/skins.phtml?category=21

Copy any skin you download in to

~/.local/share/audacious/Skins

Then, in audacious, right click the player and go into the preferences to change your skin.

If the folder doesn't exist, just create it. Audacious should pick up on it.

Also, you can copy the skins into /usr/share/audacious/Skins (if this doesn't exist, you may want to consider reinstalling audacious)

Hope it helps

Bhavani Shankar.

I moved all my skin-files from ~/.audacious/Skins/ to ~/.local/share/audacious/Skins and now it's working again. Thanks!
