No Sound Ubuntu 7.10

I have had no sound for 2 days now and I've tried this fix as mentioned here:

(https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/7629) Of installing this:
wget ftp://ftp.alsa-project.org/pub/driver/alsa-driver-1.0.14.tar.bz2.
But, had no success.

When I run lsusb this is what shows up:
