customizing desktop with all machine information on wallpaper

how do i customize my desktop as the one above...........plz say step by step as i'm a newbie

There are many programs for customizing desktop in GNU/Linux and I'm not sure which one concretly is this...

i hav gdesklets in my package n i hav installed it but i don't get how do bring those information on my wallpaper....plz explain wat to do after i enter the Advanced desktop settings,step by step.. Thanx

So run it (gdesklets) - i think it's Applications→Accesories→gDesklets (but I'm not sure...). It will start a window with list of desklets - here just choose what you want (it's sorted by category). Double click on desklet's name and it will appear on desktop - you can it move, setup etc.
