Which application do you use to upgrade your system?

I use Update Manager.

If you agree to install all of them, you can right-click on the orange square icon and select Install updates.

I have done so. It asks me the password, and make a verify, but it doesn't install anything. Infact it doesn't show any message of correct installation anf when I close the window, the orange square icon is still there.

So you have to select Open Synaptic package manager and install them under that application. Anyway, what a weird behaviour! I'm going to dig into bug reports to see if something has been reported.

Now I succeeded, and as I expected the orange square icon disappeared. I don't know why that problem happened; maybe it's a bug of the new version of Ubuntu (I installed 6.10).
Thanks,
M.
