How to remove a device

Asked by Edmond Condillac

I'm using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. having repaired my GRUB boot loader. Is it possible to remove a device as listed in the Home Folder of 3.2.0-48-generic #74-Ubuntu?

No - this is a device left over after installing Unumtu 11.04 alongside the previous installations. My GRUB version is 1.99 and the GRUB menu lists 3.2.9 - 48, 3.0.0-12 and 3.2.0 -48 generic- pae. for the generic-pae option the kernel needs to be loaded for this booting option.

On re-running Boot-Repair the GRUB menu list has cleared to show 3.2.0-48-generic #74 only. Thanks for looking into my query
