SDL sound delay

Asked by Brõck

I had problems with using Ventrilo and Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory at the same time.
So I got a tip with using ET-SDL, a software that forces Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory (ET) to use SDL.
After that I could both heard sounds from Ventrilo and ET.
But the sound I hear in ET have a big delay, and that makes the game unplayable.

I would appreciate any answer that could solve this.
Thanks in advance!

I'm also open for other (better) solutions to fix the problem with Ventrilo and ET.
The problem is that I can't hear anything on Ventrilo when I use ET.
SDL fixed this, though with a sound delay.

I followed what he said here: http://utforums.epicgames.com/archive/index.php?t-366478.html.
Which was to install the newest alsa lib, drivers, oss and utils.
If there's any lag now, it's unnoticeable.
