Mouse/pointer settings not saved

Asked by Michael Rose

Problem: Mouse and pointer settings are not saved since the introduction of the pointer speed bar in the 'Mouse & Touchpad Setting'.

By default, the speed bar is in the middle, but however I want it to be as slow as possible. Henc, I put the marker to the very left and closing the window. Although the pointer's speed has decreased, I then discover that my settings are not saved when I reopen the settings: The bar is in the middle again.

After rebooting the computer the speed is back on normal (and the speed bar too).

Is there a solution to this problem? Is it even a bug?

I have troubles choosing the right package. Which one should I use?

Sorry, I am pretty unexperienced reporting bugs.

Run:

ubuntu-bug xorg

To start the process. If you make a new user, is it ok there?
