Evolution not sending email

Absolute beginner -- No problem receiving email... i am having problems sending email out through evolution via local ISP account..ie smtp.mail.myispprovider.net (:2500) -- this is left out of the server script...should i include this protocol in script. what is :2500 is that a port? any help appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yes, you can specify the port number in Evolution by putting :2500 at the end of the SMTP server host name.
