linux to windows

im new to linux and trying really hard to show all our clients a way around windows, however for the life of me I cant get documents to work from linux to windows and the other way around. is there something that im missing... Im know that this a basic question that I should be able answer, but thought if my investigation doesnt go well ill have all your support
Im using Mircosoft office 2007 and Ubuntu on other computer

Hello...

You can use openoffice.org which is installed in ubuntu to read MS office files.. To import files from windows to ubuntu

you can mount your windows partitions into ubuntu ref:

Also, consider installing Open Office on all windows computers as well and then you can work with native file formats and not have to convert back and forth. Until MS adopts open standards office should be avoided (IMHO).
