where did 'new folder' go in nautulis Files ubuntu 13.04

Asked by Cliffm

Hello
The New Folder command under 'Files' is no longer there.
The 'Files/Help' selection no longer tells one how to create a new Folder.
It is not listed as one of the options?
Is this correct?

I am using the terminal to add folders. This is OK but Nautulis is only useful for existing files and folders.

In Raring Nautilus has changed a lot but there are two ways to create a new folder

1. Right click in the "files" area and a new floating menu will open. From that menu you can select "New Folder".

2. Use the keyboard short cut: SHIFT+CTRL+N

More short-cuts are listed in my answer to this question on AskUbuntu:

Hi Warren
That is the problem there is no 'New Folder' what comes up are:
New Window
Connect to Server
Enter location
Bookmarks
Preferences
About Files
Help
Quit

That is what I get whether rigth or left clicking the 'Files' in the floating bar upper left corner.

Noticed something else maynot be related. The up/down arrows on the right side are gone?

Thanks Cliff
