Some of those applications are windows only such as MS SQL server and the dotnet framework..

The mono development tools can be installed from within Synaptic (System --> Administration --> Synaptic Package Manager).
There are also development environments such as Eclipse which can also be installed from Synaptic.

You can obtain a copy of Oracle RDBMS from oracle themselves. They provide GUI tools also.
MySQL has some graphical tools, and some web based tools such as PhpMyAdmin.
As I mentioned, Eclipse is an IDE which you can install and use in Ubuntu.

To install MonoDevelop on Ubuntu, visit the official MonoDevelop website or search for installation instructions specifically tailored for Ubuntu. The website usually provides step-by-step guides for downloading and installing MonoDevelop on different operating systems, including Ubuntu.

For installing the .NET framework and SQL Server on Ubuntu, Microsoft offers official documentation with detailed instructions. You can find these guides on the Microsoft documentation website. Simply search for "Install .NET on Linux" and "Install SQL Server on Linux" to access the relevant guides.

To set up a GUI interface for managing databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle on Ubuntu, consider using graphical tools such as MySQL Workbench or DBeaver. These tools typically offer straightforward installation processes and user-friendly interfaces for configuring and managing databases.

Regarding working with Visual Web Developer or Visual Studio on Ubuntu, it's worth exploring alternative IDEs or editors that support C# and C/C++. Visual Studio Code is a popular choice that offers robust support for various programming languages and can be easily installed on Ubuntu through the Software Center or downloaded from the official website.

By following these guidelines and utilizing the resources provided by MonoDevelop, Microsoft, and other software vendors, you should be able to set up your development environment on Ubuntu effectively.
