Is Airtel (India) 3G USB Dongle supported on Kubuntu?

Asked by Arun Rao Poghul

I am trying to use Airtel's (India) 3G USB Dongle for Internet connection. I just installed Kubuntu and I need to know where I can download the app/driver that activates this device. The Airtel's website does not appear to support Linux flavours. The Dongle is 7.2 Mbps, model E1731 device.

Thanks,
Arun

Use pppconfig to config in terminal or use network manager for the GUI WAY.

I think this might help http://computer-kamal.blogspot.in/2011/12/how-to-install-sh-file-in-linux.html?m=1
