x-org gets frozen or crashes a lot of times. I've switched from unity to gnome, and still happens.

Unity does not replace Gnome. Unity is a shell for Gnome. When you use Unity, Gnome is running underneath.

What action are you taking to cause the freezing?

Thanks

I mean I had switched to Gnome Shell, sorry.

No particular action, just browsing some website, or managing torrents, it just happens in several situations.

My version is 12.04 LTS and never has worked all right.

Okay, are you using the latest updates? A possible solution would be using the open-source noaveau driver instead. Though that driver isn't know for its reliability, it may fix this issue.

Hope this Helps

I'm with latest updates, using "current" driver.

I've read about noaveau driver, and the result apprears to be the same, but I could try. Could you refer me any way to do this correctly?
