Totem movie player videos

Asked by sandra.bodkin

The videos that play in Totem movie player appear dark and hard to see. The video quality is not very good. Is there a way to fix this? The sound is good. Thanks for any information.

Hi,

in Totem, open the Edit Menu, then Preferences, Then the Display Tab. There, you will find luminance/contrast parameters. You can adjust them while the movie is playing, to see what it does in real time.

The video quality has nothing to do with totem, but comes from the video file itself (and tools/parameters it was created with). A lot of videos are poor quality noawadays, you must search for another one encoded in better quality.

Olviier
